Accounting

The Accounting Group is responsible for all accounting-related matters including purchasing of equipment and payment to vendors. Other functions under accounting include annual financial audits, public auctions, annual bid proposals, and other administrative operations.

Human Resources Group

The forward-thinking Human Resource Group (HRG) is devoted to providing effective policies, procedures, and people-friendly guidelines and support within the organization. Additionally, the HRG serves to make sure that the company mission, vision, values or guiding principles, the company metrics, and the factors that keep the company guided toward success are optimized. It also keeps track of changes in State and Federal Employment laws and applies them appropriately. These include tax regulations, health insurance requirements, overtime laws, unemployment restrictions, family and medical leave policies and safety regulations. The department works for the best interest of both the employees and the department; striving to create a safe workplace and handling employee disputes as required.

To provide comprehensive and effective training to all paid and volunteer personnel based on State and National standards, information analysis, and the demands of the community.

The Cy-Fair Fire Department Training Division is staffed by paid and volunteer personnel of all backgrounds and is responsible for the training and the continued education of the department's uniformed and non-uniformed personnel. It develops, coordinates, and provides department-wide training for new recruits, probationary, fully-released firefighting and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) members and permanent employees. The Training Division maintains records and documentation of all personnel training and meets the standards of various State and National organizations.

Public Safety Systems

The Public Safety Systems Division's vision is to ensure that the Cy-Fair Fire Department has a defined plan for the continuous review of Public Safety Systems with a forward vision for technology improvements that will assist our members in providing responsive services and quality information in emergent and crisis situations. It believes the continued investment in modern solutions will notably benefit those in need of emergency services and it is committed to working together to develop inter-operable communications and other information technology systems that provide for public safety.

Public Relations Division

The Cy-Fair Fire Department Public Relations (PR) Division is responsible for public education on fire safety issues, and victim advocacy. Public Information Officers (PIOs) act as an official source of information to the news media and assist displaced families/victims in receiving assistance from the American Red Cross and other governmental agencies. The PR Division also offers fire station tours and the public appearance of apparatus at Special Events.
